In continuation of your application for repayment of Customs duty on Gears returned to the U.S.A.Suppliers, I have been requested to ascertain. (1) the result of the inspection mentioned in the Gleason works cable of August 30th. and (2) whether the foreign suppliers have made any allowance for the rejected goods by way of credit or replacements.
