As you are aware, we have had considerable difficulty with the supply of Marles Steering Cams from the Adamant Company, Luton, and they are now suggesting an increase in the purchase price of such Cams due to the improved finish and closer limits for which we are calling, and claim they are not unreasonable in asking this slight extra.

The actual figures are:

25/30 HP. Marles Steering Cams. Original cost ... 34/-
Price now suggested .... 39/3d

I have little doubt they will be asking for similar proportional increases on the 40/50 HP when we are next in the market.

Incidentally I hear, from what I believe to be a reputable source, that the Vauxhall Company are abandoning the Marles Steering and taking up the Burman - if not on all their Models, on certain of them.
