Test results for modifications to an exhaust silencer system.

| Test No.3. No.4. special silencer was now modified, and two separate rear silencers fitted, so that the exhaust system was divided all the way down as shown in 4, Fig.1 this reduced the power loss to the exhaust system to 5-. Fitting a single rear silencer of the type shown in 3, Fig.1 increased the power loss to 6½. Both systems were however rather noisy. | ||
