To Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} from EFC. c. ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} X8793 EFC2/T15.2.26. RE LUCAS MAGNETO. X.8793. With reference to Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}6/K5.2.26, we are very keen to have another Lucas magneto for experiment at the earliest possible moment, the reason for this largely being that it takes so much less force (about 1/3 as much) to operate the contact breaker lever of this magneto (without sleeve) than it does on our standard (with sleeve). This feature is greatly desired in connection with the more perfect operation of the oil relay advance. The magneto is at the same time also very attractive in other ways. I should be pleased if you would suitably write to Messrs. Lucas to urge as much as possible the delivery of the first machine. EFC. | ||
