Re Lucas Magneto - X.8793.

Upon receipt of yours EFC2/T15.2.26 we wrote Joseph Lucas Ltd. informing them that we were very keen to have another magneto for experiment at the earliest possible moment and would be glad if they would let us know how soon it would be possible for them to let us have the first sample.

On the 12th inst. we again wrote Lucas Ltd. stating that we should be pleased to learn what progress they are making towards the completion of another magneto for our examination and test and we are this morning in receipt of their reply dated 16th inst. as follows:-

"We have been doing our best to push forward two "sample machines. We are pleased to say that these "are now well advanced and we hope to have them on "test early next week; all being well therefore, we "expect to be able to send them to you about the "middle of next week."
