EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. #Z 1235 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/JBD.{John B. Dixon - Fuel Systems}6/JH. February 3rd. January, 1939. Alexander Duckham & Co.Ltd., Duckham House, 16 - 18 Cannon Street, LONDON.E.C.4. For the attention of Mr. Bowrey. Dear Sirs, We have been using your KG20 white grease to lubricate wedge actuated brake expanders and have experienced trouble with this grease melting when the brakes get hot and running onto the brake linings. Could you please recommend a suitable grease with a high melting point for this purpose and if possible supply a sample. In this case we are more interested in the melting point than of the effect of water upon the grease, and for future reference would like to have particulars of the melting points and properties of the greases you market. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
