Ought to Try SEB/GMB 7th February 1939. Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., Experimental Department, Derby. Dear Sirs: In reply to your letter of January (? February) 3rd, 1939, we have pleasure in recommending our K.G. 24 Grease as a means of overcoming the melting-out difficulty experienced with K.G.20. K.G.24 is made from soda-base grease, and the melting point, though ill-defined, is approximately 275°F.{Mr Friese} as compared with 210°F for K.G.20. A pound sample of K.G.24 is being forwarded under separate cover. We append a list of our principal greases, with approximate melting points, penetration numbers and other data. Yours faithfully, FOR ALEXANDER DUCKHAM & CO. LTD. S.E. BOWREY Chief Chemist /ENCL/ No order will be legally binding on the Company unless on its own official contract note. | ||
