Body for 1-B-50.

Many thanks for Hn{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}4/AH.21.2.38. We note your remarks re the specification for the above body, and will discuss them in detail when we meet. In the meantime, we give below our observations:-

(1) BODY: We agree to light section front pillars, naturally these are very desirable.

(2) DOORS: We agree to a Quick-lift to the offside front door if it can be accommodated. With respect to the private locks, we also agree, and as you will see from a previous memo, we suggested that some form of Fisher Ventilation should be fitted.

(3) DIVISION: We are not keen on an electrically operated division for reasons you can imagine. In particular we do seem to need a tilt and drop division in order to enable us to house a heater and wireless set.

(4) QUARTER-WINDOWS: We would prefer these to be of the opening outwards type as the slide rearwards variety create a draught, whereas the former act as extractors.

(5) VISORS: As previously stated we would like to try sun visors as fitted to the Rover car. Derby's experience with the Rolvizor is not a very happy one.

(6) CARPET: We had not overlooked the mohair rug for the back compartment, as on Humbers, we rather imagined this would be an extra. In any case we usually do not have such on experimental cars as they are not suitable for the heavy use which they would get.
