Rolls-Royce, Ltd., DERBY. Dear Sirs, Re: ORDER NO. 57240. Referring to your letter of the 24th November, we have now had an opportunity of investigating this matter with our Works and now that they have received back the one battery we can confirm that the wrong type was sent and we would ask you to accept our apologies for the error. Would you kindly arrange to return the other three batteries to our Works at Dagenham Dock and we have put in hand four replacement batteries which we are sending off to you by passenger train either to-day or to-morrow at the latest. We think you will find that the eight batteries delivered as the balance of your order were of the correct type, and again expressing our regrets for the error made, Yours faithfully, PETO & RADFORD [Handwritten notes:] 6HZ9S supplied in place of 6HZD9S | ||
