RE. 20 HP. WITH FRONT AXLE RADIUS RODS. X.4263.
X.4261.

We send herewith N.scheme 1394 shewing the
rear end of the side steering tube arranged on the lines
of the flexible joint we are at present using but with
the stiffer springs which Mr. Royce wishes used with
radius rods. We expect that it will be found that quite
stiff springs can be used, and therefore are giving you
a choice of two springs, one giving a normal load of 250
lbs., and in case this should be found to be too stiff,
another giving a normal load of 175 lbs. We suggest
that in any case you might like to try the weaker spring,
and see whether there is a definite advantage in a
smaller load.

The front end of the side steering tube remains
as now but the bending is slightly different and we shall
send you particulars of this on the general arrangement.
