Dear Sirs,

Re REMOTE ACTING THERMOSTAT.

We are glad to note from your letter of the 18th May that you are about to commence tests on the abovementioned device, and as requested please find below further information.

With regard to the temperature range, the device sent to you is filled with methylated spirit, and under conditions of no load the fluid in the boiler part will boil at a temperature of about 75°C., and due to the fact that the boiler is installed with the exit downwards when the boiling temperature is reached the whole of the fluid is driven from the boiler, and therefore any further heating will not appreciably raise the pressure in the capsule. The range of movement of this latter part is between 5/16" and 3/8".

The writer is visiting your Works at 2 o'clock on Wednesday next, and we can then have a further talk on this subject.

Yours faithfully,
H.M.HOBSON LTD. E.DODSON.
