| Midland Gd. Hotel July 28/27 Dear Pin. [crossed out text: X7770] 12 E.X. is with Birkett at Bruton Str. waiting to be fetched. There is something wrong with the Smith screen wiper which misses when the screen gets dry. a fool left off the filler cap & out of respect for the car I had a replacement made by a saddler for 2/6. It will perhaps amuse you. Will pay for replacement if required. The car was good but on further acquaintance & especially with light loads in the rear did not ride as well as 8 E.X. though it steered a lot better. at times the engine was quite noisy & had a tendency to smoke. | ||
