N.W. 10. Dear Sirs, RE WORK TO BE DONE ON EXPERIMENTAL BODIES. We wish to confirm that the following work has to be carried out on the Experimental Cars at Derby, if it has not been completed already. (a) Mount the body, a four door saloon called Bentley "B" on chassis I.B.3. Fit and mount the running boards and wings and paint the latter. Fit the extra wing stay to the front wings. (b) Add mudlips to the front wings of the two close coupled cars Bentley "A", chassis 3.Pere.2 & 4. Pere 2. (c) The body of the Four Door Saloon 2.Pere.2. will be removed and sent to you in London for repair as soon as it can be spared. (d) On all bodies in which both doors are hung on the centre pillar steps must be taken to prevent the pillar from twisting, either by the proposed gusset at the base or by any other suitable means. (e) Attention has to be paid to the striking bolts and plates of the locks of the Four Door Saloon Bentley "A" chassis 2.Pere.2. on which the doors have been reported to fly open. (f) Mount the Close Coupled Saloon Bentley "A" (Mole) on chassis 4.Pere.2. and fit the running boards and wings, painting the latter (g) Add the extra front wing stay to all Bentley "A" cars on the road at Derby. (h) Attend to any such points as may be brought to your notice on Park Ward cars, by Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} (i) Add a rubber or felt stop to the scuttles of all the bodies to prevent the free lower rear corner of the bonnet from tapping against the scuttle panel.
