COPY S.Smith & Sons (Motor Accessories)Ld., Cricklewood Works, N.W.2. 17th January 1935. W.Cowen,Esq., Messrs.Rolls-Royce Ltd., 14, Conduit Street W.1. Dear Mr.Cowen, JACKALL. Confirming our conversation, after consulting with our Fitting Manager he assures me that, from exhaustive tests which have been made in the past he has satisfied himself that in the event of the car being raised on the two rear jacks there is no risk of the car coming off the jacks. As explained, one of the first tests which your Derby folk instituted after the Jackall equipment had been fitted some 6 to 9 months ago to a Phantom II car was to raise the latter on the 2 rear jacks on an incline and try to push the car off the jacks. The latter successfully passed this and, in fact, every other test to which they were subjected. I am very pleased to learn that you are interested in these jacks especially as I do not think it is making an extravagant claim to say that they are just as superior to any other form of jack as your present Phantom II is ober your pre-war design. I would very much like to equip all your principals' cars wuth Jackall as I am convinced that after they have had experience with same they will unhesitatingly be in their favour. Sincerely yours (Sd) Chas.W.Nichols. | ||
