I have noted your reply, Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}6/M22.5.25. to BJ. regarding Items 1 and 2 and am pleased to note from the last paragraph of your Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}2/M26.5.25. that the remaining items are having urgent consideration. I have also seen Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG26.5.25. and Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}9/T25.5.25. (and your covering note Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}8/M26.5.25) in which these officials give their views on the points raised. I would like to confirm the last conversation I had with you on this matter, to the effect that I appreciate that the whole of the Derby staff are fully alive to these matters and are doing their utmost to find cures. I have no doubt that there are faults on the chassis which they have experienced, of which, possibly, I am not cognisant. I have been only too pleased as far as ever practicable for myself and my staff to co-operate with them to overcome these troubles.
