Quoting a letter from North & Sons Ltd. regarding the modification of Watford magnetos.

Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 1/T30.12.24, we are in receipt of a letter from North & Sons Ltd. dated 5th inst. as follows:- "We thank you for your letter of the 30th ult. and are pleased to note your decision with regard to testing further magnetos fitted with aluminium gear wheels and bakelite pinions. "We have now received the magnetos Nos.68109, 70037 and 73973, and beg to quote for the modifications to Nos.68109 and 70037 £2.10.0 less 20%. "With regard to No.73973, we find that this is already fitted with a bakelite pinion, aluminium wheel and duralumin contact breaker lever, and in this case we are merely looking over the magneto to see that everything is in order before returning it to you. "The work on the other two magnetos has been put in hand and we hope to have them completed in time for Mr.North to bring the three magnetos with him when he comes to Derby on Friday."
