Modification of three Watford magnetos for further testing on an EAC.2 chassis.

Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 1/T30.12.24. X.4181d. WATFORD MAGNETOS. We are sending into the Stores three special Watford magnetos, Nos.68109, 70037 and 73973. These magnetos have 60° range and left hand rotation, having been obtained for tests on EAC.2. engine and chassis. It is now required that these magnetos be returned to the makers to be fitted with:- (1) Aluminium gear wheel. (2) Bakelite pinion. (3) Duralumin contact breaker lever, so as to bring these magnetos absolutely up to date experimentally for further tests on EAC.2 chassis, for which chassis 60° range and left hand rotation are necessary.
