Programme for week-ending 13th March, 1937.

Due to unexpected developments with the alum. head to RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}315, last week's programme has had to be suspended. Work for this week is as under:-

WORK TO BE DONE. TIME.
Exhaust temperature tests and fuel consumption 1 day.

Shop. Remove head, and smooth off all sharp points and protruding threads, etc. and radius all edges. Re-fit head.

Detonation tests, and exhaust temperatures. 2 days.

Future programme depends on results from these sets of tests.

The following parts are outstanding and in order of urgency:-

(1) Push rods to RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}441.
(2) Push rods to EB.2021 (replacement).
(3) Replacement inlet rocker bushes.
(4) Tachometer drive to SCT 53, instructed 14.12.36.
(5) Induction Pipe to SCT 52, instructed 14.12.36.
(6) Re-conditioned T.H. instructed 24.1.37.

In addition to the above, we should be glad if you would instruct some spare inlet valves to EB.2026, as it appears there are none available,at present.

Chassis - General.
We have carried out various test on the reed for the valve lift indicator, and we find that one similar to that shown on Sct.54 herewith is most satisfactory. We should be glad, therefore, if you would have one of these made.
