Frank Schubert, Esq.,
Bearing Company of America,

Pa.{Mr Paterson},
U.S.A.

Dear Schubert,

I have had a letter from L.A. Wright about the Patent situation of your bearing over here.

Unfortunately our legal people here say that the sale of Packards in England makes it impossible to get a patent.

I had lunch to-day with Hickling of Ransome & Marles and told him the position. He is afraid of the cost of such bearings in the small quantities required in England of one size. They have no equipment for making the necessary pressings. However, he will write to you about it.

We have put one of the bearings you gave us on our test rig running at 4,500 r.p.m., and will let you know the results in due course.

Kind regards,

Yours sincerely,
