delicate Bourdon gauge; the K.S. has no mechanical parts whatever to go wrong.

We therefore think that we have got a better gauge than anything on the market.

We are sending you herewith a complete 40/50 triple line gauge with the exception that the air line is 20 HP. length as we have no spare 40/50 lines.

In production the points that require watching are :

(1) That the flange in the tank is in the correct position and the correct height above the tank centre line. We have already found that this is not easy to ensure and special drawings might with advantage be made on the lines of K.S.180 attached shewing the exact position of the gauge. K.S.180 is of course now out of date as the gauge position has been moved to clear the body. The tank unit we send you is correct and the flange position and angle should be such that this unit will just clear the bottom of the tank.

Some form of gauge will doubtless be necessary on production to check these flange positions.

(2) Care must be taken when fitting the tank to the chassis that the tank centre line is vertical.

(3) The points enumerated in our Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/LG24.9.28 still require attention.

We should be obliged if you would let us have a drawing of the tank unit in position on the lines of K.S.180 herewith.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}
