With reference to Hsl/T16.1.29, we are dealing with

Item 3 - improved front shock dampers.
5 - improved exhaust system.
9 - modified brake leverages.
11 - modified controls on steering column.

We have dealt with:

Items 6 } as regards the front springs and are
8 } awaiting comments before applying
12 } to the rear.

With reference to Item 7., we gave RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} an indication of how the serrated coupling could be fitted in place of the fabric coupling, and presumably you will tell us soon whether you wish to go on with some form of solid coupling.

With reference to item 5, we have heard indirectly that R.{Sir Henry Royce} wishes us to fit an expansion chamber. We had already made provision to do so, and some other modifications to the system which we shall be sending you in a few days. If you have any definite information as to R's views it would be of great assistance to us.

With reference to item 13, we do not know whether this is a modification requiring design as we have not previously heard of it.
