The question of Depots carrying stock crankshafts for replacements becomes rather involved when one realizes that for the 4 1/4 litre Bentley we have got seven different types. The only way as far as we can see is to have three crankshafts complete with flywheel to get over these different series. The actual crankshaft is not different, so there is no question of bearing dia. to be accounted for, also it does not materially matter as to which crank goes in an engine, so long as the timing marks are watched.
