RE COACHWORK EXPERIMENTAL CAR. GZU. 24.

We took deliv ry of the above car on September 17th. and have now covered a distance of 1,100 miles on good roads.
Attached is our report on the coachwork to Messrs Hooper & Co.
We propose getting all the items mentioned put right before we show the car to anyone.
It will be remembered that the body is our Standardised Special Touring Saloon on the 25HP. The bodies have been built by Messrs Hoopers to our own Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}S. Design.
On this particular car we have incorporated a number of special features for experimental purposes. These will be listed on a sheet carried on the car for the information of anyone trying the car.
We suggest that Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} will wish to make a note of various items mentioned in our report with a view to having the modifications put on all future bodies of this type which are being constructed and also on all other bodies to which the particular feature reported on is applicable.
Before the car is tried by Sales we would like certain chassis details attended to and we are asking Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} if he will agree to get these attended to.
The brakes are very poor due to oil on the servo, and the grabbing of the shoe on the off-side rear wheel.
There is a bad crankshaft period at about 48.MPH. in top gear which can be cured by an adjustment of the slipper drive.
We hope to get a lot of useful information out of this car and we shall endeavour to see that our production coachwork profits by.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}

[Handwritten note]
You could, perhaps, get the Repair Dept. to see to these items when I am next in Derby
