BRISTOL.

Dear Frise,

I am sending you the scheme drawing of an installation of the 40 m/m.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} gun in the Beaufighter. In case you have any comments which you would like to make on the method of holding the gun from the air frame, the work is being officially carried out under the auspices of the R.A.F. gun installation people at Hucknall, and I anticipate that they will take responsibility for air worthiness, etc.,

We have been doing a good deal of automatic firing with the gun lately and it is showing a certain amount of promise.

Should you be able to get up to Derby at any time, we shall be glad to show you this and also the half inch gun, which should be flying during the next few weeks.

Yours sincerely,
