Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}21/N. Confidential. Messrs.Park Ward & Co.Ltd., 473, High Road, Willesden, London N.W.10. Dear Sirs, Re: Short Wheelbase Bentley - 1.B.5. We have already sent to you a print of PD.71 shewing the contour of the wing at the bonnet valance strip to enable you to proceed with the front wings. We now send you a print of F.CD.303 shewing the same contour, but also the particulars of the shape of the bolt flange of the wing, and of the bolting. This will enable you to finish off the wings. We also enclose a print of the petrol pump mounting in the frame F.CD.299. It will be necessary to provide a trap door in the floor under the driver's seat to give easy access to these pumps. We shall be glad to hear from you whether you have been able to do anything to assist in overcoming the wind noises on this body as suggested to your Mr Ward when in Derby i.e. (1) Closing the door shuts on the outside of the slot with a rubber seal. (2) A finer and more complete seal to the front edge of the sunshine roof. We are now sending you a print of DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}1589, shewing the arrangement of the Instrument Board, and also Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} | ||
