Em.S/T.J.41 - J - and Mr. will then instruct a set of parts to be made. 15 - PISTON SLUDGE. Recent piston seizures suggest that the hole in the rod is valuable and that we should run our experimental cars with this hole in action. Oil control may have to be adjusted to keep the consumption reasonable. Mr. commented on the fact that J.B pistons were knocking cold, though the car had only done 2000 miles. The matter should be investigated next time the car was in the shop, cylinder bore wear measurements being obtained, etc.. It was tentatively suggested that oversize split skirt pistons should be fitted. 16 - IGNITION INJECTORS. Mr/BJ's report showed progress. The improvement should be fitted to as many experimental cars as possible. 17 - PROPELLING OF MULBERRY "SPADE" FITTED TO Mk.VI-BENTLEY. There is no progress to report, but the experiment is in hand. 18 - WINDOW SPACING. Stainless steel channelling has been ordered, but it is lost on the railway. This experiment is important and must not be allowed to drop. 19 - WHEELS. The light wheels were promised for the 25th, but they have not yet materialized. Mr/Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will find out what has become of them. 20 - MATERIAL FOR THE MYTH BODY. We now have three sets of material for the Myth body in the Stores and two sets for the Myth frame. When Mr comes to the Works we will discuss this material with him and deliver what he requires to London. | ||
