Recurring headlamp bulb failure likely caused by a loose bulb holder and vibration.

(5) This customer is in the habit of riding with his
headlamp in the dipped position: the bulb in
the nearside lamp had blown on various occasions.
This probably is due to the bulb holder which is a
loose fit with the bayonet cap of the bulb, allowing
vibration to shorten the life of the bulb.
