To BY/Mtn., from GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}6/N.7.1.38. Re: Bentley Dynamos. Kingsbury do not look upon the failures of dynamos which are change for the following reasons as complaints which are serious: 1. Blocking of commutator, 2. Fault of the winding, 3. Throwing solder. and therefore do not make out a Customer's Complaint form. If they reported every trivial complaint you would be overwhelmed with them, and no real good would come of it. The dynamos you quote were returned to the Works under note SR.171 and a full description given of the reason of changing such as: B.203.HM.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} - Changed on instructions from Sales. B.5.JY.(not 6) armature blocking up.(This had been caused by oil from the rev. drive). B.17.JY. - A fault developed in the winding of the armature. I think you will agree that we have more serious complaints to worry about than start to trouble you with this kind of common day complaint. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W.
