The following is a brief summary of the discussion held yesterday, the 28th inst:-

(1) Bowering will confirm that the Smith's jacks on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III dummy chassis are O.K. for full lock.

(2) Windall will see if he can get some valve springs for the SpectreCodename for Phantom III which are not so prone to surge and noise. (Handwritten: Keep On)

(3) We will fit to 32-SX a new rubber gearbox mounting and the propellor shaft off 30-MX{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}, and test on the road. (Handwritten: ✓)

(4) Whyman will push on with the air silencer tests as soon as 32-X gets on the road. This is considered to be of No.1 urgency. (Handwritten: O.K. ✓)

(5) Steadman will see if the dynamic balance will take the SpectreCodename for Phantom III crankshaft and flywheel complete, and if so, see RWC, and ask him to fix up a place in the shop for this machine. (Handwritten: ✓)

(6) The red SpectreCodename for Phantom III, 33-MX{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}, has done several standing starts on Green Bank which indicate that the weaker clutch springs are on the light side. We should repeat these tests with standard clutch springs and see if they make any appreciable difference. It occurs to us that it is not reasonable to make a standing start on a 1 in 7 gradient on second gear when a 4-speed box is provided. (Handwritten: ✓)

(7) Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} will investigate the chunking on 32-SX, and bring it up to standard.
