Tyres not fitted with Security Bolts and Bolt Valves. With further reference to the above, we are in receipt of a report from the Inspection Departmnt in regard to Chassis No. 18-EE. an extract from which reads as follows.- "I imagine this car has a 16 tooth axle. As "there are "150" tires on the rear wheels the acceleration "must be poor, but there is no complaint about this. In "discussing the question of these tires an interesting point "came up. Hewing stated that, when in France, last spring, "both tires came off the rear wheels. He therefore fitted "security bolts, and has had no trouble since. I should be "interested to know whether perhaps W. find that there is a "greater tendency for the "150" to come off than for the "135". We are passing this information to you as a further case of tyres coming off in order that the matter may be put before P.T.O. | ||
