Archer} EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} and E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Arising out of the Minutes of the previous meeting on March 4th are the following points:- (1) Aero Glass. This is reported to be a failure. The chief difficulty is the impossibility of getting the glass flat, and also several breakages have occurred in service. (2) Driving Visibility. New regulations have been received from the Ministry and reported on by EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} These new regulations constitute a return to the original proposal very largely and in consequence our three chassis comply with the requirements with the exception of the filler cap on Phantom III. Mascots in any case are likely to disappear. Mascots will not be allowed where they infringe against the rules both in respect to visibility and danger arising from sharp points projecting forward, (3) Barker Continental. It is early days yet to comment on this body, but this item will be kept on the Minutes. (4) New Headlamps. We consider it is essential that these should be at least ready for the next Motor Show. A memo will be addressed round to the officials concerned to ensure that this matter will be followed up with this end in view. It should be ascertained that the lamps are suitable | ||
