WRAITH III - STROMBERG CARBURETTER.

Attached is a list of special features and the reasons for their inclusion in the present Wraith III carburetter, given in Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Mo.S.21/G.26.10.38. and which were discussed at a Meeting of the following :-

BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}
Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}
Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}
Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GR.{George Ratcliffe}
Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}
Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/Mo.S.
and Mr. Fisher of the Stromberg Company.

The whole list was discussed and the following decisions made respecting the special features to be included in any further supplies of Wraith III carburetters.

All the items in the attached list are to be retained, except for numbers (3) and (12).

Regarding Item (13) BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} suggested that the die might be altered to give an increased diameter stiffening ring to choke housing which would possibly prevent the distortion of the choke valve housing during the enamelling operation, and Mr. Fisher agreed to look into this.

The only outstanding point yet to be decided is, the black enamel exterior finish of carburetter, and this decision is to be made after viewing the condition of the test carburetters, which are at present being tried out by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GR.{George Ratcliffe}

When this decision is made it will then be possible to obtain a revised price for the carburetters from the makers for future supplies.
