Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of 16th June in which you state that you will have to prepare a special electric drive for the research programme you have in mind. We shall be pleased to see your Laboratory Engineer at any time convenient to him, and if you would suggest a date we will confirm it. With regard to the last paragraph of your letter, it would be quite simple to investigate the effect of enclosing the ignition cable in metal tubes. We could include this in the preliminary programme of work, subject to the same conditions mentioned in our letter of 26th May, 1939, ref.
