L.M.13 K.{Mr Kilner} To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}4/KT.24.5.33. As we increase the compression ratio of the Bentley we find that we require less ignition advance. Here is a curve Rn.{Mr Robinson}B.15 which shews the results with our latest induction system, camshaft, and the 6.5/1 compression ratio. We also shew the curves obtained from the springs you have given us. It appears that spring (2) when stopped down to a total automatic advance of 16° will be satisfactory.
