TO R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Ha/Rn.{Mr Robinson} C. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Ha/Rn.{Mr Robinson}2/KT.30.3.33. We have now tested out on the road the ignition governor to E.50880 modified to LeC.3476, governor spring Ex.11175. We find that this spring is approx. right for detonation, and we recommend that it should be used for the first fifteen cars. We recommend that the auto. advance should be restricted to 19º on the flywheel though the full 23º as used at present does not give us detonation at the higher speeds.
