LONDON. W.11.

For the attention of Mr. Harris.

Dear Sirs,

Thank you for your letters of the 27th inst,
and of the 28th inst., with a lot of useful information.

We have been looking into the question of
the unit G.84361 and find that your last consignment
of units were quite satisfactory.

We are arranging for our drawing to be
altered as follows :-

(1) Diameter 3.039 to have a limit of +- 2.

(2) That the centre of the inner sleeve must
not be greater than .005 from the centre of
the outer sleeve. This means a possible
variation of thickness of the section of .010".

With these limits it appears to us that it
will be unnecessary for the outside diameter to be
machined after assembly. Will you please let me know
your views.

We are busy drawing crowds of "Floatex"
units for body mounting. Can you let us have a drawing
of the P.R. and S type units having rubber mounting.

The attached prints G.81746 and G.84362 show
the details of the neighbouring parts to G.84361.
Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
