X328 c.c. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Dd. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} E/HDY.{William Hardy}1/HP.30.4.36. Gearbox Stay - Phantom III. We send herewith N.Sch.4802 which shews modifications to the stay provided at the request of the Works. The taper bolt which is at present fitted at the front end of the stay is replaced by a parallel bolt of the same diameter as the stud in the gearbox. Adjustment vertically can now be made by placing a plain washer under the nitrided bush at whichever end is the lower. We suggest that the modified stay should be fitted to the chassis now being built with the new type gearbox. N.Sch.4802 herewith. E/HDY.{William Hardy} | ||
