any decision in regard to closed cars, until they have had an opportunity of trying a closed car with the exact springing which it is intended shall be standard with front wheel brakes.

As soon as Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} is able to arrange for London to try a a closed car, with springs which will be as actually supplied on E.A.C.III, they will be able to decide this point, and the 10,000 miles test of the closed car and springs can also start in France. As the springs on the open and closed cars will differ, it is desirable that two cars should be tested.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} had also brought to Gerrards Cross an E.A.C.III fitted with torque rods and front brakes. The brakes on this car were intentionally fiercer than on 98-NK. He had brought this car to demonstrate to R.{Sir Henry Royce} exactly what was the effect of having torque rods. It was impossible to make any useful spring test of this car, as the body was only a rough testing one, and far too uncomfortable to feel the springs one way or another.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} hopes to be able to let London have one of these cars to test with a good body at an early date, but he did not want to do so until R.{Sir Henry Royce} had given an opinion on some points.

Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} and two men from the Works drove the above three cars to West WitteringHenry Royce's home town last night. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} hopes to bring them back to London tonight.
