The clutch suitability for the Bentley III & 50 chassis, recommending a 10-inch clutch over an 11-inch one.

The LOP.GB.3793 and Arrg. GCD.518 call for an 11" clutch on the above chassis. We consider the 10" clutch most suitable for the Bentley, as the driven member has 23% less inertia. We are at present experimenting with the Long Type semi centrifugal clutch which is giving promising results. This is also a 10". The two clutches are interchangeable except for the drilling of the flywheel bolt holes, and consequently we see no justification for fitting the larger clutch.
