Jenner} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} DESIGN PROGRESS: CAR DIVISION. 1. RATIONALISED RANGE. (a) It was agreed that Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} would submit a list of the parts which were receiving design attention to reduce cost and to facilitate interchangeability. (b) Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} said that he would get Allen to complete a picture of the revised wheel bases. 2. RIPPLET. (a) The main differences in the dimensions of the body which will be fitted to the Ripplet and the standard B.V. body are as follows: 1" less head room. 1" less width at the front elbow. 2" less width at the rear seat belt rail. 3" less width over the rear seat cushion. 4" lower rear seat. 2" narrower boot opening. (b) It was agreed that the design for the Ripplet was completed with the exception of the instrument board, petrol tank and filler. 3. LEFT-HAND CAR. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} reported that this was complete except for the instrument board, petrol tank and filler. The left-hand car was 30% detailed. - Continued - | ||
