32-EX. THREADED SHACKLES.

We have sent today by Air Mail to Paris one O.S. rear spring front end anchorage bracket complete with threaded pin and bush. We have also sent the scheme drawing.

It appears from your note that the only way to remove the present threaded pin is to remove the anchorage bracket, and saw one lug away.

The threaded bush is fixed into the spring top plate by rolling over the end of the bush.

If you do change the parts we should very much like to have the seized parts back at the Works. As holidays are about to start there will be no chance of getting superior parts for some time. If further troubles occur there will be other threaded shackle parts ready at the Works.

You will probably notice that the relative angular position between the bush and the spring plate must be correct in order to get equal clearance each side of the bush.
