We attach sheet giving H.P. figures taken on a
40/50 HP. engine with the present standard scheme of exhaust pipes, with the pipes arranged to LeC.1832/3, and with the Derby exhaust scheme which we are at present running on the cars.

It will be seen that there is comparatively little loss with this scheme shown on LeC.1832/3. We are, however, trying this scheme with a larger down-pipe. We found that the larger down-pipe decreases the loss with the Derby scheme.
