X.4430. 20 HP. BATTERY IGNITION CONDENSERS.

Herewith we hand to you [Handwritten] four [three crossed out] condensers which we shall be glad if you will place on the chassis indicated below, in place of the standard condensers at present thereon, the features of the condensers being as below :-

(1) Condenser IC1. Representative of present standard except that the connecting strips are wrapped in the tin foil of the condenser - an idea for the improvement of the internal connection. [Handwritten] 7-GII. Present capacity within production limits.

(2) Condenser IC2. As above. [Handwritten] 5-EX. Present capacity within production limits.

(3) No.1600. Condenser made up with untreated white paper obtained from U.S.A. and the whole impregnated with pure paraffin wax of melting point 125°F. {Mr Friese} [Handwritten] 98-NK. No increase of capacity with temperature, as in IC1 and IC2 above and in the standard condensers. Capacity rather lower than production limit.

(4) No.1576. Condenser made up with untreated white paper obtained from U.S.A. and the whole impregnated with pure paraffin wax of melting point 140°F. {Mr Friese} As in the case of No.1600, the capacity does not increase with temperature. [Handwritten] 93-NK. Capacity rather below production limits.
