25 HP. MATERIAL.

Replying to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}14/T.19.4.32.
We recommend the only safe policy to ensure continuity of output, is to produce a further batch with the silencers at present being used.

Since Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} returned from U.S.A. we are trying out a new scheme of exhaust silencer which, from tests so far, promises to be efficient and economical, but it will be at least two months before we shall be in a position to recommend an alteration.

As regards our further suggestion of trying to incorporate Bijur standard connections and Sisto-flex covering, no decision can be given on this for another two or three months, so that we shall have to carry on with the present standard pieces.
