SUSPENSION Springing 25/30HP bad. Weight distribution and seating position responsible for many complaints of pitching and discomfort. Difficult to overcome complaints on enclosed drive limousine. PH.III complaints of excessive flexibility. Shock Dampers. (Knocks) Connecting links or loose fixing bolts. Internal knocks from pistons, bearing pads or main bushes. Better fitting bushes are being fitted. Improved on latest cars. No complaints of knocks on PH.III. Dampers loose on frame. Applies mainly to early cars, larger fixing bolts now fitted. Leaks from Dampers. A few Failure of damper poundage Rectified by clearing system through during oil leaks and lapping in valve in governor pump. Front axle control rattles. These parts have given a good deal of trouble. This refers to lower end of triangular torque control. Front end movement. On 25/30HP is a poor feature. | ||
