30th. November 1937.

Messrs. The Automotive Products Co. Ltd.,
Tacnbrook Road,
Leamington Spa.

For the attention of Mr. Parnell.

Dear Sirs,

Confirming our conversation with Mr. Parnell, we should like to know, in round figures, the cost of Lockheed equipment for braking a car, total weight 2 1/4 tons, 12" diameter brake drums, using a tandem master cylinder, bisector mechanism on the rear brakes only and finger tip adjuster on the front brakes.

(1) If you supply the whole equipment including shoes and back plates.

(2) If you supply the hydraulic equipment only.

The width of the shoes to be either 2" or 2 1/4" in both cases, the width to be determined by your standard practice. We should appreciate a list of pieces supplied in each case.

We should like to know by return of post if possible, whether the single point adjuster shown on your drawing 10307/1 O.S. and 10308/1 N.S. is one of your standard pieces.

We were about to order two of these units but are holding the order until we hear from you. If this component is not actually on production, can you supply a drawing of a similar piece that is, and which could therefore be supplied at a reasonable figure.

Thanking you in anticipation,
we are,
Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
