1st. December 1937.

Messrs. The New-Hudson Ltd.,
Icknield Street,
Birmingham.

For the attention of Mr. Fraser.

Dear Sirs,

We have received two separate accounts from you, one for £25.10.0d. and the other for £4.0.0d. We agree to the first figure but cannot understand why we should pay for the replacement plungers. The expanders as delivered in the first instance were quite unsafe in our opinion and therefore unacceptable. The error in detailing the plungers was not our responsibility.

We are therefore asking you to withdraw the account for £4.0.0d.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
