25-HP. and 20-HP.

Unsatisfactory spring lubrication considered chief cause of trouble. "S" series (now on test from GNS-1) spring leaves fed from Bijur scheme as on Phantom II chassis.

A scheme to do this by hand, similarly as Phantom I is available and should be recommended to be applied as an improvement at customer's expense in case of complaint.
An alternative is to give leaves initial oiling, and fix up gaiters with latest scheme of lubricating pads and lubricators, which has been our practice for some time. This scheme has been successful in dealing with several complaints. If on cars over 12 months old, should be customer's charge as cost of upkeep.

This complaint should diminish as cars for some time have had the improved gaiter pad lubrication, and others preceding this improvement should soon be 12 months old.

General report is that 25 and 20-HP. springs O.K. - if springs fitted to give the specified standard clearance. We may have a few special cases that require special attention but the general remarks re specification and tests etc. as referred to in Phantom II., cars should also apply to 25-HP. cars.

Faulty shock absorbers are also features causing springing complaints.
