To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} x wb{Mr Brazier/Mr Bell} HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/APM.15/JH. 8.6.36. Bentley Brake Judders. As there are certain points about judders that still need illucidation, we shall have to make a series of experiments to clarify the position. The first experiment is to try N. Sch. 1793 with reduced inertia on the toggle shaft. Will you please cut a keyway in levers GB.2263/4 and in the toggle shafts on the axle you are building up to this scheme, so that the remainder of the adjustment mechanism can be thrown away. The levers are to be held on the shaft by means of a taper pin driven through the shaft. Packing washers can be used between pin and lever to take up clearance. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/APM. | ||
