re Full size Drawing Board.

A meeting was held at Clan Exptl. between EJJ/Addison, Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/TD, Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Hewitt and Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} on Monday April 28th. 1940, to discuss the ways and means of rebuilding the.full size drawing board, certain parts of which have been recovered from Hucknall.

There exists the following items -

(1) 6 sections of board - making a complete board of 18 ft.
(2) 2 sections of scaffold verticals cut at the centre.
(3) One horizontal rail 18 ft. long for the top or bottom of the board.
(4) The centre rail badly cut up and may be useless.
(5) Parts of a platform which will not be needed at Clan Exptl. Room is not available.
(6) Two complete 't' squares.

The following decisions we agreed to :-

(1) Although the design shews a board 21 ft. long and it was thought one section was missing, Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} recollected that for reasons of space originally one 3 ft. sect. was deleted. Our largest car 30.G.VII. is 17 ft. 5 1/2" over the bumpers. We shall not need to order an extra section.
(2) The two sawn apart verticals of the scaffold will be plated and although originally 5 are shewn we propose to use only 4, making two new.
(3) A new 18 ft. top or bottom rail is needed and to facilitate obtaining timber this could be in 3 sections.
(4) For similar reasons the centre rail can be in three sections.
